Cruising

Members of Tin Can Bay Yacht Club usually get together for casual day cruises (weather permitting). The format is very relaxed and usually includes meeting up in Snapper Creek in front of the clubhouse about 11.00 a.m., then sailing somewhere in Tin Can Inlet or the Great Sandy Strait (destination decided on the day). Local destinations include the "Powerlines", Inskip Point and Pelican Bay and the beaches on the southern end of Fraser Island.
The day cruises are open to all members (and prospective members) regardless of the type of boat (power or sail, it makes no difference!).
Longer weekend cruises are also organised, often over a beer at the club on a Friday night, so be prepared to go sailing at the drop of a hat! Destinations include Garry's Anchorage, South White Cliffs and Kingfisher Bay.
